Gay Liberation Network joins the Chicago United-Front Protest

Mumia Abu-Jamal Is Innocent!

Free Mumia Now!

Abolish the Racist Death Penalty!

Saturday, April 26, 12 Noon
Federal Plaza (Adams and Dearborn)

The Partisan Defense Committee and Labor Black Struggle League have initiated united front protests in Chicago and Los Angeles on April 26 under the slogans "Mumia Abu-Jamal is Innocent! Free Him Now! Abolish the Racist Death Penalty!" There will also be united-front protests in a number of other U.S. and international cities on April 19.

These protests come in the wake of the March 27 Third Circuit Court of Appeals decision upholding Mumia's frame-up conviction for the killing of Police Officer Daniel Faulkner. This decision is a slap in the face for all opponents of racist injustice. It is urgently necessary to mobilize for freedom for this former Black Panther Party member, MOVE supporter and renowned journalist, who faces the prospect of either a new death sentence or being buried alive without parole.

A partial list of endorsers already includes Amalgamated Transit Union Local 308 and Local 241 (Chicago), United Auto Workers Local 3212 (Chicago), attorney Standish Willis, Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) New York Chapter, Emma Lozano of Pueblo Sin Fronteras, Gay Liberation Network (Chicago) and Prof. Michael Eric Dyson.

"Formed in response to three September '98 anti-gay bashings in the "Boy's Town" neighborhoods [we] respond to all serious hate crimes, no matter which scapegoated group is targeted. We will actively seek out and work with individuals and organizations in other communities to assist them in responding to hate crimes that target them. Only by the active involvement of grass roots people from all communities can we isolate the bigots and thus lessen hate crimes."

  • African Black Men prefer butt fucking as a form of Birth Conrol. They are not doing a very good job at it I think...

  • I don't know how anyone can rally for a copkiller.

  • Just give the man a fair trial. Allow him his evidence and a witness or two. Free Mumia 30 years ago.....

  • All these Degenerates should fry.

  • Your racist "justice" system should not have supporters - get over yourself and support the jailing of killer-cops not cop-killers.

  • just say no to supporting cop killers.
