Mayor John Fetterman of Braddock, Pennsylvania talks about the "numbers of carbon caps," he says that there are 250 tons of steel in a wind turbine, multiplied by 6,000 parts, multiplied by the amount of wind turbines in a wind farm, this would create a great deal of jobs. Jobs, which are a luxury in his town, practically unemployed now that the steel mill has closed, and Fetterman hopes to turn the old factory into a plant for the production of sustainable energy.
So, you are obviously for nuclear power, right?

I always love the "taxes that your grandchildren will have to pay" argument. The same argument was made when FDR enacted the New Deal. Well, we are those grandchildren and that debt is long gone. Now we're dealing with Bush's. And there was never an INCENTIVE before now. Just because the technology is not in place today, it's stupidity to say all wind and solar will "ever do is 17%." Like saying we'll never find a cure for certain diseases. It's just ignorant. RPMenefree must work for Exxon.

Keep burning fossil fuels and your children and grandchildren will have much bigger problems than taxes. Why is it so unreasonable to expect this country to move beyond fossil fuels, to wind, solar, and an other alternatives as they are developed. Resist change and you fall behind as this country has in education and industry. Regardless of the tax argument, the alternative energy industry is a viable avenue to revive this country's scientific and industrial edge.

Carbon Caps/Carbon Taxes are the biggest BS scheme to come along ever. It will bankrupt this country.
If wind turbines are so wonderful and so profitable why aren't more companies making them??? Because wind cannot produce enough power to take a significant load off the coal/oil burning plants.
Go read the governments' own studies, the most wind AND solar will ever do is 17%. Is that worth the trillions they will take in Carbon Taxes, that your children and grandchildren will have to pay back?
