National Security Advisor (later Secretary of State) Henry Kissinger calls President Richard Nixon to congratulate him on winning re-election. Nixon gives Kissinger his assessment of the election and of his opponent, George McGovern, who in his concession speech had stated that America had lost in the election.

@jabklyn Actually, Nixon is not vilified by many Liberals of today. It's rather ironic that while liberals of the 50's 60's & 70's vilified him, many of the Liberal Democrats of today are some of his strongest defenders. Nixon seemed to prefer working with Conservative Democrats and Dixiecrats more than he did Republicans on Capitol Hill. Nixon and Hubert H. Humphrey were very close friends, as was Lyndon Johnson. Bill Clinton & RNM also develop a friendship before Nixon's death.

What about Pinochet in Chile, that the republicans helped to power, wasn`t he a fucking dictator, but i guess it`s alright to suck up to dictators as long as they`re on the right!

Nixon was a genius. You gotta love how liberals still hate and demonize him as a dictator, while simultaneously sucking up to REAL dictators like Castro or Chavez. You judge a man by his enemies. So, considering that Nixon's enemies were all traitorous America-hating liberal swine, I'd say that makes old RN a great man whose memory should be revered.
