Only the dead have seen the end of war.
Remember this....

Somebody once said this, but since nobody in Washington will ever listen to the American public, I'll say it again for the cheap seats... "War is hell." Need I say more??

Patriots love their country every day. And their government when it deserves it......~Samuel Clemens..

War was a good way of defending ourselves and foreign nations from the Nazis and Imperialists in World War 2. Without war we wouldn't have the freedom we have today, without war millions of Jewish people would still be in concentration camps. You want to blame the present conflicts in Afghanistan? Blame the terrorists that kill others because they don't believe in their holy god.

WAR is the BEST thing going. The greatest problem facing the Human Race is BOREDOM. WAR allows men to engange in their favorite activity: Raping, Robbing, Dominating and Killing Human Beings. Nothing is sweeter than watching you enemy die.
It gives women real heros to hump.
WAR gets rid of lots useless people; it saves the world from overpopulatrion.
WAR redistributes wealth. Lots of people get rich fast !
And WAR is FUN ! . . . YOU SIMPLY CANNOT BEAT IT !

war is part of human nature without it we wont be able to move on without wars the world is so stagnant no tomorrow no future without war human civilization collapse the economy will collapse without it there is no new medicines no new tools no art the world will be a boring place without it and no mater how we try there will always be wars nobody can stop it it's inevitable but even though we can't stop it we can minimize the damage sorry man but that's just how the world works

In a war all that matters is the man on your left and your right, and making sure you come home alive. Screw the guy who decided to shoot at you, cause I will make sure he never sees another sunrise. You can call me morbid, you can call me cruel, but I will not go quietly. If they take me, then ten more are coming with me.

war is very profitable for certain individuals... simple as that
An interesting insight from a 1st person level of involvement in war. I have no doubt that without being in the middle of the combat and relying on & looking after your battle buddy it isn't something easily understood. Some might argue that serving time in prison would have similarities as it is a rather hostile environment but the weaponry is far less sophisticated and what discipline is enforced as almost puerile by comparison. Thanks for you comment.

I'm not positive but I think the video footage was from Fallujah so while you might not have seen any enemy forces they were there. Of course with so many bullets flying around how does one know who is an enemy and who is not? What a mess that the US is even involved in Iraq and that those who scream support the troops the loudest seem to forget the mission was to find the non existent WMDs, they'd welcome us as liberators in the streets and the Oil would pay it.

During the gruesomeness & harsh realities of warfare it is a human survival skill to find humor in the morbid in an attempt to keep one's sanity among insanity, chaos and carnage. I refrain from judging what anyone whose served might have found humor or entertainment in while being in combat in a hostile environment. I do however have concern for those who come back with PTSD after they try to readjust to civilian life. I think the best victory in war is won in the war that was avoided.
