Ukrainian Greek Catholics share unique perspective on St....

The Institute of Pope Clement, belonging to the Ukrainian Catholic University in Rome, recently held a conference on St. Paul.“Christians, both Catholics and Orthodox, almost every day listen to the readings from the Apostle St. Paul. But do they really hear? Do they really understand him? So our first task is to give our students and everyone else, Ukrainians, the possibility to get acquainted with St. Paul.”Ukrainians, dispersed all over the world for various reasons, have a particular sensitivity to the cultural variations that resonate with St. Paul, Apostle to the Nations.“St. Paul was a Jew, but was the Apostle to the Nations, to the Gentiles. He also had a unique point of view, being ‘all things for all people’. And not to be too haughty, but we could provide that point of view -- kind of an Eastern point of view for the West, a Western point of view, in some sense, for the East. And hopefully, of course, by doing step one, first learning about St. Paul for ourselves, we can help the Church in the whole world.”
