I'm embarassed for Dave Elitch. And just tired of Cedric and Omar. He may play it modest in interviews, but not even that afro can hide the swollen head all of Omar's undue accolades have given him. He writes good tunes but he's a mediocre improviser (the length of his solos at older concerts suggested he thought otherwise, though he seems to have realized this in these more recent shows). And poor Dave Elitch would be better off with Phish or some similar easy-jam band.

the new drummer is good, he's just following thomas who was mind blistering. its a tough transition, but if he sticks with them it could be interesting... oh well.

You've got to be kidding... this new drummer put out the greatest drum solo I have heard in my life. I was surprised that his arms weren't torn off from his shoulders by the end of it. Mars Volta were definitely gave the best concert there, tore Muse to shreds.
