Apparently DB have been given Permission to run ICE trains through the Channel Tunnel this month (December 2009), meaning ICE could come to London St Pancras soon. If it does happen I hope it will be ICE3s.
Great vid!

i love these trains they are really and truly german electrics built by seamans body built by adtranz and bombardier and hatchi motors lol

@UraeusAnkhAmon Plus the Acela is the ONLY train that goes above your shitty speed limit. We have a whole country that can under that time (7 hours) running on 75% high speed with more than 30 stops run that distance with about 10 waitng time at the stations.

@PolskaUrban How? They are no where near the same.

@myalover the traih itself was built in Germany, but it is owned and operated by NS.

@loaduponc yeah it has just about half of the eupean trains 2. class capacity. Plus it only reaches 150 mph for a couple of minutes. Normal European trains run on that speed the whole time. So the conclution is you have shit trains.

@U2TIGERHAWK21 Those aren't engines, they are I believe two very strong magnets to hold the 2 seperate trains together. That way they can easily disconnect when they need to go in different directions (always make sure you're in the right part xD). It also makes it possible to adjust the length of the train (rush hour trains are sometimes twice as long).

@DaaYay there are magnetic brakes but to stop a train they are useless. (at slow speeds) to less eddy courent or howerver you call this.
