These are *FAKE* outtakes from the moon landing, as if it were a hoax. The moon landing was not actually a hoax, but this video is just for fun. It's a joke. Don't take it too seriously, it's just harmless comedy.

@TestTheAcid The specific clips that Bart shows on his film are edited snippets from the entire package he received from NASA (the ones he says he got by mistake). It would be nice to see the entire, un-edited selections of film from NASA of those days when Apollo 11 was transiting to the moon. I don't know if they are available online from the NASA Apollo video library, I'll have to take a look.

@TestTheAcid Are you referring to the portion that Bart says NASA sent him by mistake? If so, then no, it does not appear to be a fake. At least in that it does show Neil, Buzz and Mike in the CSM of Apollo 11, in space, somewhere between the Earth and the moon. Is it what NASA says it is (a rehersal for a planned live broadcast)? or what Bart says it is (the crew planning out how to decieve viewers as to their actual location)? It appears to me to be the former.

@TestTheAcid I agree 500 characters is not enough space to effeciently debate these topics, however it is all we have.

As far as watching WW2 in "perfect colour" versus the "crappy quality" video from Apollo11, I guess there are some differences between the environment in Europe and the Pacific versus the moon which might impact the camera choices and quality of images recorded on, or transmitted from, the moon.

@TestTheAcid An interesting clip from Bart's film. The whole film is more interesting to watch of course. The title is "sensationalized", neither the video clip nor the whole film is "banned in America" but I guess that gets more viewers than the content would on its' own. What questions do you have?

@valleytenderfoot i simply do not have the time to entertain you or give you the explanation i feel this deserves 500 characters is not enough space to be able to write any explanation i understand that there are plenty of middleaged ppl like yourself who just cant believe they got duped by a crappy quality video from a military organisation i can watch ww2 in perfect colour but not the greatest event ever to be taken on by man are you also incapable of researching info yourself

@TestTheAcid Oh, and I never said anyone was an idiot (I don't recall that at any rate... I'll read back through some older posts). The punctuation issue doesn't get to me, it just makes it slightly more difficult to read your replies. Typing in All Caps doesn't make your replies easier to understand either, but thank you for the thought. Net etiquette suggests that typing in All Caps is the same as yelling in person, so it appears from your replies that you are upset or just.... yelling.

@TestTheAcid How can you expect to be taken seriously when you won't take the time to make your statements as clear as possible? To promote an idea and expect others to believe it, or at least intelligently debate it, requires fairly clear communication.

No stars in photographs has been thoroughly worked over by a number of experts and clearly explained. Smudges...? are there too many, not enough... what specifically about smudges? What objects are props? The "C" rock? What about the rovers?
