Taken from Handel's 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba', DeDannan gives this a Celtic twist and of course she arrives in Galway Bay. A wonderful piece of music!!! From their album "Song for Ireland" released during Mary Black's time with the group. This album was originally released in 1983 and has been re-released numerous times since then.

ENJOY!

  • I love this piece of music. Such pure, raw talent. A genuine thanks from me for posting this on Youtube. Reminds me to remember that we live in a beautiful country despite all it's problems!

  • @rammsteingirl2011 I am so happy you left your comment. It is not often I get a comment like this. I am glad you enjoyed the music also! Thanks for saying "hello". It is much appreciated. My best to you, Moppet (Barbara)

  • This is their best setting of this piece. I fell in love with the Arrival after hearing this

version. Being something of hobbyist musician I've been struggling to play this

myself for many (too many :-) years. Eb sucks though, been doing it in G.

  • @zobangub I am not a musician, but I love this piece also. I think it is excellent and wish you much luck with your endeavors. You are doing homage to both Handel and DeDannan! Thanks for stopping by and for commenting. I appreciate your comments greatly. My best, Moppet (Barbara)

  • Thanks for uploading this, great song and the first recorded version I think. Live is good but great to hear this!

    Thanks again.

  • @Minkymoo222 You are very welcome. Thank you for listening. That is what makes it worth the time to put the music up & not many people let you know they like it.

I didn't know it was the first recorded version. Thanks for the info. I love live music but I'm in the Midwest (not close to Chicago) & don't get the chance to see many Celtic groups. This will have to do for me til I get 'lucky'. Stop by anytime to listen & thank you for commenting. It is appreciated. My best, Moppet (Barbara)
