@joseflesh make sure you are chalking the tip of the cue really well. Also, change where on the cue ball you are hitting.

Nice editing, lol. Wonder how many times he had to try before the 8 finally sank... I've seen people sink the 8 on the break from many different positions and they all hit the apex ball first. You're better off doing it that way because trying to hit the second ball as shown in this video is more likely to make you scratch on the break than anything else.
