THE STORY:
A gunman started shooting at a Florida school board meeting. At about 2 pm today, a man walked up to the podium and said he had a motion. Before his turn was over there was one person shot and a room full of people taking cover.

The unnamed man took out a red can of spray paint and made a "V" on the wall surrounded with a circle, then took out a handgun. According to the local TV station, WJHG, a female board member attacked him with her purse but the man opened fire; randomly shooting around the room. This was a heated meeting but no description of what the meeting was about has been released yet.

The local SWAT team arrived and took over the scene. All that has been released so far, is one person was shot. Pensacola Police declined to say if it was the shooter or a board member. Authorities now have the streets around the shooting at the Florida school board meeting blocked off from the public. The TV station WJHG also mentions the possibility of that the gunman may have been firing blanks and was killed by the swat team. It is not clear if that is anything more than a rumor. This is a developing story so little information is available at this time. Hopefully, more information will be available later today.
