"They're convinced that the people out there, the people watching this on TV, even if they see my movie, they're not going to revolt, they're not going to stand up, they're not going to get involved. They're so convinced that they have dumbed down and numbed the American public to a point of utter despair that they can't get off the couch to become active politically. And they made a huge mistake letting me on TV and putting my films in theaters and publishing my books and I'm so grateful for that. ... I don't associate myself with those who do well. I am devoting my life to those who have less and who have been crapped upon by the system. And that's how I spend my time, my energy, my money. ... I hope they rue the day that they ever allowed me up on the movie screen. ... [but now] this Occupy thing has happened all across the country, because people are standing up." -- Michael Moore on Piers Morgan Tonight, Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

@bighands69 Give me an example where someone in the United Kingdom has been denied cancer treatment because of cuts. I don`t think you could mention one and back up the source you got it from.

A national insurance run service could cover your mother and your self if a very expensive procedure is needed. Such a service could also have a savings based aspect were you could also have elective procedures so as to cover private based treatment.
Now I will ask you a question what about the cancer treatments that the British government will not allow for cost cutting reasons as the welfare system cannot afford it.

@bighands69 So my mother, a single unemployed mother, would have been able to afford to fly a top surgeon from America to perform multiple operations on my head when i was just a few months old if we had the same system that is in America ?

The wealth that is generated by working class people is taken away from them by the welfare system that is suppose to help them.
People pay taxation that is more than 50% of there income and they then only get a fraction of this back from the system in service.
It is cheaper in Britain to get treated by private health care than public health care. And operation in private is cheaper and quicker. How can you defend that people cannot afford this.

I have practiced as hospital doctor and have seen the short comings of the British welfare system. There is currently cancer treatments that are not available on the NHS that are available on other systems.
But my personnel experiences or yours are not so much what I am referring to. What I am pointing out is that the welfare state takes wealth from the working class and then gives them back pennies to the pound of service.

@bighands69 I am not a doctor. I do not know what the best treatment is for me when I fall ill. That is the doctors job and I am comfortable knowing I can go down to the doctor tomorrow and have a check up without having to worry about money and also know that they will know what the best course of action for me will be. I would rather have everyone getting good care than only a few people getting outstanding care and the rest of the poor/working class left with nothing.
