I am having the same problem with the smoke at the moment due to all the rain we had over the last few days. But you are getting used to it.

Erik Frost Mora makes really good curved knives also. I have the full curve half curve and the same short straight carver. I am looking for the longer straight carver but the Mora 811 works for that also.

Here is a Top that I do! for your main Camp Fire I carry in 3 bits of 50mm Black pipe and place them in the Fire Like a Birds Foot and the air is Drawn in through the pipes and helps the burn Less to no Smoke.
