Well, yes, of course, on Astra 1 there are currently 38 TV channels that are transmitted analog (PAL, free to air). These are mostly German channels.

"To recieve Sky Digital, you'll need to replace your current dish and box". New box yes, new dish, no. All you'd need to do with the dish is realign it so that it points at Astra 2.
