Born in Prague, Czech Republic, in the 1980s he lived in Australia, where he built his Glass Harp.
Alexander Zoltán - Glass harp
The glasses are tuned directly in front of the audience's eyes. Alexander runs his fingers around the glass rims, while adding or draining water by his other hand with a dipper. Thus the glass tone gets to its proper pitch by a glissando.
Each glass stands for one tone, similarly to organ keys. The sound of the instrument resembles that of a Pan flute, or an organ. The instrument has its own built in amplifier, almost indistinguishable to the audience.
Alexander's repertoire ranges from popular Bach, Beethoven and Mozart pieces to melodies of A. L. Webber's musicals, and rock songs of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
