GLASGOW, Scotland (Cbs) Scottish singer Susan Boyle, who got her start singing in church choirs, performed for Pipe Benedict XVI Thursday for the crowd of 65,000 at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.
Boyle, the unlikely pop star who shot to global Internet fame after she sang on the Tv show "Britain's Got Talent," said it was a dream come true.

"It's something I've always dreamed of, it's something I've always aspired to do, and here i am, finally getting the chance," Boyle told Sky News.
Besides performing her now-iconic rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables" at the Mass, she sang two hymns, How Great Thou Art" and "Make Me a Channel of your Peace." An 800-strong choir also performed.
Benedict is incorporated in the second day of a four-day state visit to Britain that included a meeting with Queen Elizabeth Ii at Holyroodhouse Palace in Edinburgh. British police arrested five London street cleaners over an alleged threat to Pope.

There are 3 verses to this hymn. . . Why does she only just repeat the chorus??? It's the same on her CD. See Carrie Underwood's version, posted by rhony72for the whole hymn, and far more moving.
