http://www.nucleusinc.com/medical-animation This 3D medical animation depicts the surgical removal of the appendix (appendectomy) using laparoscopic instruments. The surgery animation begins by showing an inflamed appendix (appendicitis), followed by the placement of the laparoscope. Afterward, one can see the surgical device staple, cut and remove the inflamed appendix. Following the removal of the appendix the abdomen is flushed with a sterile saline solution to ensure all traces of infection have been removed. ANCE00183

  • Had a bellyache on Sunday morning about 10am. It got worse throughout the day. By 10pm I asked my wife to take me to the hospital because of the pain. I threw up a few times, then they gave me some morphine. This relieved the pain tremendously. They gave me a CT scan, said I had to have the appendix out. At 4:30am they removed the appendix. Doc said it was huge, but not ruptured. I went home by 6:30pm. Its my second day of recovery and I feel good. 42 y/o male.

  • @kao1969 Good luck with your recovery! Please share this video with friends and family to let them know more about your procedure.

  • I was at work and got a bad stomach ache at around 5pm on a Thursday, I sucked up the pain for about 4 hours then I couldn't take it and I went to the hospital where I threw up a couple of times. Turns out my appendix had ruptured and I got into surgery at 2am on Saturday. After I first woke from the anesthetics the surgeon showed me my appendix in a test tube even though I was too groggy to properly inspect it. But I was out the next day and fully healed in around 4 weeks. (I'm 17)

  • My Lower left of my stomach hurts and I think it might be my appendix just a muscle strain help please and I'm 10 years old

  • @iluvtkandbk HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH <3<3<3<3

  • I had a terrible ache on the lower right of my stomach. On the forth day of the pain my mum decided to take me to the doctors and they said wait one or two more days and if it gets worse go straight to the hospital. Hope it doesnt get bad.... oh and im 13

  • I had a stomach ache for about 3 days and went to my local doctors. She diagnosed me with Appendicitis and told me to go to hospital. They kept me in for 2 days without preforming surgery, which was odd, since I had all the key symptoms of Appendicitis (blood in urine, high white blood cell count etc.) They gave me an ultrasound and then decided to operate. I had keyhole surgery, which gave me terrible pain (worse than appendicitis) for 2 or 3 days, but felt fine afterwards!

  • I just had this surgery Saturday night (3 days ago) i find that the worst pain still is the pain from the CO2 gas cause it goes into your shoulder. WORST
