The MySQL website doesn't have connector/net version 6.0 anymore and no zipped msi installer. So when I install the newest Version with a msi installer then there aren''t the .NET references in VB :/

@IxMeTutorials Just locate the .dll and add it to your project. should be in your C:\Program Files\MySQL\ somewhere in there.

Nice video, I followed your instruction and it worked. I only got 1 question, I needed to download the connecter from msyql, after that it worked fine, but when I "publish" the application and send it to a friend it doesn't work cause he don't have the connector. Do you have a solution for this problem?

@EVERYONE and flyboxs all you have to do is Google MySQL commands and you got everything you need right there. Now to your question Flyboxs try using MD5('thepasswrdhere') and it should work 110% depending on the way the password is hashed (:
