Mini Twists on Natural Hair

Please excuse the low lighting.

These are mini twists done on my natural hair. My hair was stretched and dry when I did them. It took me five hours to do. I used my own shea butter mix and jamaican black castor oil mix.

To maintain at night I recently started using Vatika Oil, which is Coconut Oil enriched with different herbs LOVE IT!!! I put Vatika Oil on them, then braids the twists, oil my scalp with my JBCO mix and tie with a satin scarf and put the satin bonnet over the scarf for added protection.

In the morning, I take the braided mini twists out and have the crinkly or braid out look and style however I want.

I am aiming to leave these in for one month.

Currently, my hair is a little past APL, you can't see on camera, but it is when I do my length checks.

Congrats on your progress. Love your mini twists. Will you be washing your hair while it's in the mini twists? Whenever I try to wash my hair while in mini twists I experience major tangling issues when it's time to take them out.
