This is what we need to do in the Zeitgeist Movement: increasing the use of the internet and programs. We can start right on with helping the transfromation in the virtual world.

Some interesting comments here. In their defense "$0/mo Create a free account Unlimited public workstreams and unlimited public users Keep your work open and inclusive, and we won't charge you a dime no matter how large you grow." This IS open source software and a good solution to what ails our society. I'd like to see some assessments from "social engineering" folks.

It looks like a company with this kind of system would have a serious case of competitiveness. If people fight inside a company were you have a salary plus commissions p/ sale, imagine if all of your pay check would be based on your results only. This doesn't promote principles, it dis-encourages them! People wouldn't work has a team, they would try to do things by them selves to earn more money. Open-source software are made by volunteers and not by workers paid for results, not a good example.

@p4Y63jNL If you stick with the old way of doing things, livestock is exactly what you are.

@kwstasm "and that means they signal to the members what the larger community thinks"

This sounds excellent!
Tho I think it's a bit odd to see people here in the comments talking about various social structures. From what I can tell, this is just a voluntary organizational structure, where you use their website for some kind of fee, we're not talking about a change in social system. (even if this can be seen as a microcosm of a direct democracy type society)
You don't know that yet. An educated, informed and knowledgeable-vote is more appealing than a vote based on a misinformed opinion. Don't forget that a RBE is emergent in concept; ruling out ANY process of consensus with respect to a RBE is inconsequential at this point, and could probably be considered untrue. Just because Fresco and Joseph say that voting is inefficient doesn't mean that it is, and it doesn't reflect the sentiment of the movement as a whole.

Well, well... looks a lot like how things would function in a Resourced-Based Economy, doesn't it? Nice tutorial.
