81st Street Productions film that they made for the 2010 Philadelphia 48 Hour Film Project. Our genre was Historical Fiction/Period Piece, and the required elements were Prop: lettuce, Character: Joe or Jeannie Mandanda a municipal employee and line of dialog: be sure she gets the message. We got hosed on any awards though, how we didnt get best music I dont know I guess they consider a song comprised of 2 chords and a couple of funny lines better music than what we did. I think we well into what we wall into with a lot of our films, we tried to be smart and clever and not everyone got what we were doing. We might have been better off recording a bunch of guys getting hit in the nuts with a head of lettuce, now thats something that people can relate to and laugh at.
Don't dumb down for the masses, Bryan. Visions are worth fighting for!
