@theangrypeter mgm i believe holds the rights to the short version of Tintorera, i went to the website and its listed, but i don't know when they'll release it

@fudpucker9 I might pick up this version just for the hell of it, this movie has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Do you know if the old Media version will make its way to DVD anytime soon?

@theangrypeter this longer mexican cut of tintorera has more scenes with hugo stigltiz and andres garcia together swapping women on hugo's boat, more shots of them hunting sharks in the caribbean, this version is just as good in my opinion, the only drawback is theirs spanish subtitles for the english, english for the spanish! i also like the romantic theme song that plays after hugo kills the tintorera, "together untill goodbye", tintorera has great 70's atmosphere

@fudpucker9 Interesting, I liked that opening better. The ocean creeps me out. How does this version compare to the US? Better, worse?

@theangrypeter yeah, thats the old media home video vhs from 1983, it's the shorter cut american version of tintorera, this is the mexican version.

The VHS I have has a different opening, it doesn't show much of the tiger shark, more of sea life, barracudas, etc. with eerie music playing.
