John Gotti, the head of a small New York mafia crew breaks a few of the old family rules. He rises to become the head of the Gambino family and the most well-known mafia boss in America. He is known as the Dapper Don for his expensive taste in suits, and the Teflon Don because none of the FBI charges against him will stick. Life is good, but suspicion creeps in, and greed, rule-breaking and his high public profile all threaten to topple him.

Makes for great storytelling and Hollywood romanticized bullshit. @robinly Gotti died in prison in 2002 i think lung cancer...the ONLY reason he got popped is because he killed paul castellano....who was IN THE WAY of real gangsters! big paully was a buisness player who was disconnected with the streets and he let his people starve! Mr. Neil DeLacroche should have been made boss, that way the whole thing could have been avoided...and they could have all made money with no drama....besides big paul was allready facing several federal indictments and was fucked

@LeeroyJimboBerkowitz We all know Gotti was dumb as a rock. What kind of mob boss would hold meetings at the same place, same time, every week? What kind of "plumbing supply salesman" would wear expensive suits and dine at fancy restaurants?  He didn't rat, but he did talk waaay too much and he brought down the organization by being an idiot. If I had a chance to meet Gotti, I'd kick his ass. His son too.
