Rick Santorum: No Right To Privacy in the Constitution, States Can, But Shouldn't, Ban Birth Control

On a July 2005 appearance on "Newsnight with Aaron Brown," Rick Santorum says that Griswold vs. Connecticut was wrongly decided and that there is no right to privacy. Santorum also says that states have the right to regulate the use of birth control by married couples.

Is the first part supposed to be controversial?? He's right - the word "privacy" doesn't appear in the constitution. It was decided to be a mystical "penumbral" right or "emanation" from several other rights, but literally speaking, the right to privacy doesn't exist in the constitution.
