@timewilltell7 Not every INDIVIDUAL perhaps, but every collective was. The question is whether a group had written language to document it if they documented it at all; a lot of history has been lost to sieges & pillaging. Also, atrocities tend to vary in scale or taste depending on what culture and time period you evaluate, and normalcy bias had a tendency to trick people into accepting certain atrocities (e.g. slavery) as the normal cost of everyday business for a long time.
