  • So what ever happened to this guy? I cannot really find a biography or anything. I see he performed more recently as he is now completely grey haired.

  • J. David Sloan lives in Arizona and is still performing amazing crowds every time he performs. He owned and performed at the famous night club Mr. Lucky's in Phoenix for many years and sold the business in 2004. He is mainly retired now but still enjoys entertaining a crowd. He has worked with the best. Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, & many more. Early in his career, he chose family over fame but is still held in the inner circles of the music industy as on of the best!

  • Very cool! Thanks for sharing Jaylon!

  • Very cool!

  • He's my moms cousin ;)

  • I meet my wife over 27 years ago at Mr Lucky's while dancing to music played by J. David and the band. We spent a lot of great Friday and Saturday nights there enjoying his music.

  • he's back to playin' the fiddle and guitar for a local band here in phx...just saw then about two weeks ago and he still rocks the house...i miss mr. lucky's and the fish fry's too...can't believe he remembered me...still a good lookin' dude too..

  • J. was instrumental in mentoring Jordin Sparks when she first started singing publicly. I'll always remember with fondness the Friday Fish Frys, the Kids Talent Show, and all the great music and fun times....but most of all I'll always be thankful to J. and his family for their kindness and support of Jordin on her road to American Idol. We love you, J.!

  • I was always hoping that j.david would make it to the really big time. He,s such a great singer.I knew him in the late 70's in Phoenix.

  • HOWDYTWO...you are right! Super song by a super singer!
