I totally remember my Mother, while cleaning house or cooking would have one of these famous COMMAND label percussion albums on. I remember perhaps, perhaps, perhaps so well !!!

i love light's percussion series especially...such rich sound and free use of channels...the height of recording for his time, he experimented, perfected. and, this still sounds better than what is being mindlessly churned out today. you are right...perfect for testing the speakers!
