Metals are a Fear Based Commodity. When the fear is gone your gold and silver will be worth half or 1/10th what you paid for it. Many smart people say NO! Just be aware it is extremely volatile.

@Terakasi your off a bit...yes but silver/gold but you sill want food...that way you don't have to spend your precious metals every time your hungry...also you can get what you need at a dirt cheap price right now...go to the 99 cent store and get 2 cans for a dollar.....so you don't have to give up an oz later....and more importantly you don't want to expose yourself as a gold/silver holder...i like the idea of flying under the radar...just something to think about =)

screw buying food. if you believe food prices will continue to rise then just buy gold/silver (the ultimate hedge against inflation). Gold/Silver will buy just as much corn today as it did over 100 yrs ago (maybe more).
