Achimon82: the Arabic equivalent of "bashmaya" "bel-sama," pronounced "bessama." "Bismalla" is three different words, and is not comparable to "bashmaya."

Arabic and Aramic are very closely related, as they both are to Hebrew. In Hebrew, "bashmaya" would be said "bashamayim." So, you see, they are not so far apart.

Not to burst your bubble, but Aramaic is much newer than other languages. The original language (oldest known) would be Sumerian Cuneiform.

ericbl88 assyrian is the modern language we speak today and aramaic is ancient language we spoke back in the days of Jesus but we do use the aramaic language in the the Assyrian Church of the East Mass.
as for the tattoo, yes it is correct and keep in mind that we read and write from right to left.

Please understand that SURYOYO is not Aramaic!! Suryoyo is a form of Aramaic. So the Suryoyo language is a dialect of Aramaic spoken in a different region.
Just as American English is not he Original English, it is just a version of the Original.

No not even close! Bashmaya in Aramaic means "In The Heavens"...Where as Bismillah in Arabic, means "In The Name of God"...

I don't know about Syryoyo or any other yoyo's, but the Language Jesus mainly spoke was just Aramaic. He did not necessarily have a certain accent. The most purest of the Aramaic languages that's still spoken today is the Old Assyrian language, not the neo-Assyrian language (new).
