You have to unlock the salon chair,costume chest,or dressing booth. You go to them when you get and its in a room,then you pick what sim you want to dress up!

I got toilet from I think Mayor once I got 4 stars in my town.

For blowtorch,in 1 place you get 3 empty lots,and in another, you get to go into a cave.

for yellow and red crayons, there is a cave in the southwest of desert.
