  • So I pushed my pin in with the safety in the off position... It won't turn any further. How do I fix this?

  • @Emptycoffin67 It has to be re cocked. You have to use the hard edge of a table you would mind scratching.

  • I will never do that again! For those that have to learn the hard way like me, here is the solution. Grab the bolt firmly with one hand. Get a rag and a pair of vise grips and turn the cocking knob clockwise until the bolt is cocked in the firing position. I was careful not to scratch the bolt by using the rag. Reinsert bolt in receiver, cock and then rotate safety to 12 position and dissemble the CORRECT way!

  • I have a turkish mauser 8mm its dated 1940 and the firing pin is bad. do you know any website that sells firing pins???? ebay dont have any that i could find

  • I learned the hard way....about having the bolt cocked and locked prior to disassembly. The Mauser k98k rifle is so simple....it's not hard to figure out. Jim Lucas
