Wonderful sound! there's a lot to be said about the merits of unified a capella mens' voices. One of the best versions of this was done in the BEST Moby Dick movie (1956?) with Gregory Peck, et al.....

for cripe's sake, its a shanty. it's supposed to be a little rough around the edges! just listen to it and enjoy it for what it is. i think it's wonderful, personally.
