  • This piece starts with the crowd screaming "Hail Nero/Caesar", you hear the slow hymn of the martyrs, the screams of the beasts, pursuit of the victims...it's all here. Honest and not easy to listen to but brilliantly done. The piece right after this is of pilgrims heading to the Holy City, quite the contrast!

  • What year, symphony, and conductor is this?

  • Check out The Star of Indiana's 1991 performance of this. It is amazing!

  • Best music in the world, great stuff to enjoy when flying long haul.  Enjoy this, especially going to Europe.
