MCN Test: Buell Ulysses XB12XT

Buell launched its touring version of the Ulysses, the XB12XT, in Seville last week and MCN chief road tester Trevor Franklin was there to test it.

Will the new Buell become a worthy addition to the range and build on the success acheived by the XB12X or is it simply a Ulysses with luggage?

I bought an ex demo for just over five grand...it's comfy, reasonably powerful and looks qurky but to say it has sports bike handling is a bit over the top...the front end on mine is dangerously light and can catch you out....good luggage tho...decent commuter and tourer but no classic

i love how the naysayers all rail on buell and their engines.why not run 15k miles on one and then you can make a real opinion known.otherwise you are just talking out your arse.

and you'll happily ride a buzzing sewing machine and proclaim it to be the greatest thing ever.

what aload of u.s. crap.harley engine is only fit for ploughing fields. belt drive should be found under a car bonnet.. looks,well ugly is to good a word. no wonder they have stopped making it.

Agreed, motorcycle reviews where only specs are listed SUCK. We KNOW WHAT ENGINE IT HAS! Quit boring us to death with stuff we find in the "specs" column on Buell's web page, and tell us how the bike FEELS, and SOUNDS, and WHY YOU LIKE IT.

Bigshineybike is right. Really makes you appreciate Clarkson's style of review. It's all emotion and sensory. From a driver to a driver. This needs to be from a rider to a rider! GET US EXCITED ABOUT THE PRODUCT! IT'S WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO!

BLOODY awfull review. You can tell they've no interest in this bike what so ever. 1/10 for such an awfull, lame, shody excuse of a youtube review. MCN are obviousley paying peanuts and employing moneys.
