Click this link for the finished version including Swallowtail with Jim's accompaniment on my reworked James Hill part.

My first take on the John King and James HIll performance, minus the Swallowtail interlude. I am working that up now as well as rehearsing with another player to do this live. Color=John King part and black/white is James Hill part. It's rough in places but you will get the idea. Thanks to Woodshed1 for transcribing the King part!

Concerning the James Hill part.. I am definitely NOT doing what he did. Here I am using a split stroke--- thumb down, index up, thumb down, thumb down, index up. I have been working on what I THINK he did which would be a triplet rasgueado-- index down, thumb down, index up. The next version I post, which will include Swallowtail, should feature this rasgueado.

  • @heidilitke thanks. I worked up Swallowtail by ear watching John and James. Maybe someone can tab it out when I put up a performance video? AL? =) Or I could try to teach you over skype
