Lots of traditional march music in the Trapeze mopix score, too. Good ole Muir Mathieson conducted the ork. Very "tubby" sounding. Interesting stylized funky sounding band music like a circus band combined with MA's own score. :) Those were great days in my life. Music really went down hill when rock came in. Movie composers had a hard time finding work in the states. UK and continent moviemakers weren't influenced by butthole rock.

@spacepatrolman Yeah, I've got the LP of soundtrack music from the film. I've also got Arnold's Scottish Dances and his English Dances, which incorporate a motif that became a pop music hit, "Love Make the World Go Round." Actually, it goes back farther than that. One of the Strauss came up with it. Maybe synchronicity. Who knows. I also have rare LP of Arnold's soundtrack music for "Trapeze." Not well-recorded. But still great.
And I've got The Red Shoes, which everybody has access to.

The orchestra frist comes in with a portion of "The Red Shoes." The pianist is pretty. Then the River Kwai music.
