  • Dear lord this is beautiful. The best I've ever heard.

  • Please listen to Midori and McDonald's Audio CD recording.

As for Debussy finishing this, I believe he did finish the g minor sonata. If I recall correctly he intended to complete 6 of these chamber sonatas before his death, but alas, the violin sonata (3 of 6) was his last. Being that he wrote the first movement last, you could say what was just heard was Debussy's final finished movement published. A-MAZ-ING.

  • Einsame Spitze!!!

  • 2:36 is just ridiculously good

  • mature debussy is way better than the exploratory stuff he did earlier - athough i suppose that was him learning his craft

  • This music makes me want to jump into the ocean and chase the current for all eternity...

  • The harmonics, glisses, extreme register change (especially Sul G parts), the dolcissimo high D, are all what make this piece great.

  • Aint never herd no music like that before. Is the 2 of them from paris france?

  • Hermoso!!

  • What a sensational piece of music.

  • I saw this performed last night. I love the first chord the piano plays at the very start.

  • @urbanr0cker

It is beautiful indeed! Only better I have ever heard is the recordin wirth Gustav Asplund on the piano and Lucien Savin on the violin, sorry, but I don't remember the label.
