Dragon Slayer for the MSX.
An altogether terrible port of the NEC PC88 original. Thee basic gameplay is intact, but it just isn't fun, and I don't know why.
The game is more notable for its sequels:
Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu
Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu Scenario 2 [PC88]
Revival Xanadu 2 [PC98]
Faxanadu [Famicom/NES]
Xanadu Next [Windows]
Dragon Slayer Jr.: Romancia [PC88]
Dragon Slayer IV: The Drasle Family [MSX/MSX2]
[Released in the US as Legacy of the Wizard on the NES]
Dragon Slayer V: Sorcerian [PC88]
Sengoku Sorcerian [PC88]
Pyramid Sorcerian [PC88]
Dragon Slayer VI: The Legend of Heroes [PC88]
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II [PC88]
Eiyuu Densetsu III: Shiroki Majyo [PC98]
Eiyuu Densetsu IV: Akai Shizuku [PC98]
Eiyuu Densetsu V: Umi no Oriuta [Windows]
Eiyuu Densetsu VI: Sora no Kiseki [Windows]
Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki Second Chapter [Windows]
Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki the 3rd [Windows]
Lord Monarch [PC98]
Advanced Lord Monarch [PC88]
Monarch Monarch [Windows]
Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu [PC Engine]
Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu II [PC Engine]
In the game you first run around the level looking for a sword. Then go around looking for power stones, and take them back to your house to dramatically increase your strength. Fighting enemies gives you experience, which increases your base HP [which your HP is set to whenever you step on your house]. Bringing gold coins home will give you bonus HP. Carrying crosses will prevent enemies from attacking you, but prevent you from attacking them. Their main use is to lie them on the ground in passages, an enemies cannot cross over them. The ultimate goal is to ferry power stones back to your house until you're strong enough to beat the dragon and retrieve the crown.
I actually like this game, it is quite fun.

I do too, the original PC-88 version at least. But I hate this port for some reason. It's ugly and for some reason it starts me on this map, which I think is the second map in the original game.
