Part 3 of 3 - through the jungles of Central Africa, from Ghana to Uganda, including the chaos and corruption of the Congo.

An ebook account of the humorous, strenuous - and at times risky - highlights of these journeys ("What the Hell Are We Doing Here!" - narrative and 180 photos) is available from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0049H93OY) and other ebookstores.

A 4-part video series "Morocco to Mongolia" with highlights from all of the group's eleven journeys - from one end of Africa to the other and back, and then through the Middle East and Central Asia to India, China, Mongolia, and Siberia - is also available on YouTube.

  • We deliberately didn't take firearms (not experienced, producing them would probably have got us shot first!) - and never had a situation where they would have been of any help.

Our ebook has more detail if you are interested (amazon.com/dp/B0049H93OY).

  • thanks very much for these uploads of your journey. It has been very enjoyable viewing them, and also interesting to see the places where you have journeyed to.

Did any of the team have any firearms on board for security at all? or did you only hire small army details along the way when you needed to,like your trip to Amasaka?

  • a bunch of cowboys?
