I too am a Great Highland Bagpipe player now living in Bulgaria (Bourgas) and would love to learn to play the gaida. I'm looking around for a school/tutor and would be interested in buying a gaida but need to learn which scale i would prefer first.

there are few kinds of kaba bagpipes in D, E, E flat and F scale but the last is called djura I'll be glad if you have more questions to answer them just send personal massage. I'm a bagpiper too! :)

Wonderful! Could we please see more of this performance? I play the Scottish pipes but always had a special place for kaba gaida in my heart. Maybe soon I will be able to afford one and buy it from your shop. Btw. are those kaba gaidas in E?

Hello from Bulgaria,
Actually I can't say if these Kaba gaidas are in E or D (video was taken occasionally/ by chance) I can send you a sound sample of gaida that is certainly in E pitch. By the way you can read additional information at our blog as well.
