Dell XPS M1330 Hardware Failure Test

The mobo on my (almost) one year old Dell notebook got fried. Things started acting weird and I ended up calling tech support. Two calls and some near frustrating debate, the box is on the way for it to be fixed.

The main issue was that I was running Ubuntu. The tech was well and ready to send me away since we could not do diagnostics. I assured him that I kept the diagnostic partition and got me to run them (Hold Fn while booting). Nothing happened at first, then all these beeps and flashing lights go off.

I got this problem today. Dell Technical support tiold me they will send a technician to change the video card. What did you do to fix it?

heh... nothing yet.

My service doesnt give me service calls, I have to send it in. The first dispatch was sent to my old address and it all went downhill from there. I was expecting a call from another agent (for creating the third dispatch!) today but never got it. I wrote down his extention but left it at home. Ill be calling him tomorrow morning. I have talked more about it in my later videos and will update as I find out more.

I got the same problem,and I was out of warranty,but I called any way they replace MLB as a recall shit,I had a good coments about XPS M1330 even was top 3 notebook 1 year a go,never had problems with DELL brand,but now I would think twice to buy another one from dell
