Uptempo soul + the ultimate picnic = SOULNIC
On June 25, 2011 we continued with our new tradition at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. This video captures the essence of our second year, which featured DJ Wayne Williams of the infamous Chosen Few Picnic in Chicago. The DJ lineup also included performances by Derrick Wize, Drack Muse, Tony Powell, Scott K., Zernell, DJ Eque, and Tailwind Turner. Frankly, it was deep house and disco done right!
This was also a party with a purpose as we raffled several items, from a Nintendo Wii to Stevie Wonder tickets, to benefit a wonderful non-profit organization called "A Place Called Home" (apch.org).
