Here is a video taken in 2007 of a live DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) PDP-11/40 Computer system running a 1979 V7 version of the RSTS/E Operating System. A VT05 video terminal is connected to this PDP-11/40 via an EIA (RS232) connection using the DZ11 M7819 multiplexer.

Watch the VT05 terminal run the SYSTAT program as displays the system status!

  • I think most of that noise might be a teletype or line printer in the same room.
