I totally agree with you here. I've been into Wicca for years, and I never felt at home there. However, I've been a huge Egypt fanatic since childhood, so I decided to investigate Kemetic Orthodoxy. Needless to say, that's where my heart lies. I'm taking the next beginner's class :)

Ah, yes. This is definitely the shadow side of the Eclectic Community. I am very happy that you finally feel at home somewhere. Homecoming is quite an amazing feeling, isn't it. May the Gods and Goddess of the Black Land bless you on your new found path! Hail Isis and Osiris!

Very interesting video! I am glad that you feel closer than ever to the path that is correct for you! But have you ever thought of just not labeling your path? I know that this was me for a time period. It might free you up a bit. :) A label is just a label, and words are... just words. Have you ever thought of not trying to label yourself, and just do what feels right? I mean, you can say that you are something all that you want, but it's not going to make you any more of that which you claim.
I personally think, all religions are the same. Like...they all started out as one... then, they split, to fit differnt cultures as the human race spread.
Thats how i see it. So i basically believe all religion is true.
That may be your problem. you keep flipping back and forth, cause thats what i did too. you dont know whats right, cause its all right.
(im not trying to tell anyone what to believe...just trying to help, and its just a thought.) :)))

@LadyofEgypt We keep thinking of religion as something that was actively created on purpose. It wasn't. People didn't just all of a sudden say "Let's make religion." A lot of cultures don't even have a word for religion as it is such an integral component of culture. Religion develops over time, it evolves. I do think many religions share common roots but I wouldn't say they're the "same" necessarily. To me it isn't about right or not right- none of them are right and none of them are wrong.>

@obscurevisions < Religion is based upon belief and experience. You can't prove a belief, and UPG only has relevance to the individual who experienced it. I believe what I believe now (I am Kemetic Orthodox) because of my own UPG and experiences I've had with Netjer. Does that mean it is the right religion? No- but it's the one where I belong. Not everyone, though.

Thats part of what im saying. i dont believe that any thing is right, and i dont believe that anything is wrong. i just believe all gods are the same. just going by a differnt name.
if ya catch my drift.

@LadyofEgypt I get what you're saying, most definitely :) I would call that soft polytheism under the "all gods are one god" umbrella. As part of my path, I'm kind of in the middle of soft and hard polytheism- I believe gods are individuals, but that they can also have dual aspects or become syncretized- but all are Netjer. Polyvalent logic is big in Kemetic Orthodoxy :D

Perhaps if you just live your spirituality, and not try to claim any titles, than you will feel more free. Just do what you want. You don't have to subscribe to any particular system of beliefs. And I am not saying this ot demean you in any way, but rather to help you through a rather rough phase that I myself have gone through as well. :) Blessed be, whatever path you take!

I have thought of not labeling my path at all- and actually, I did it for quite awhile. All I was was Eclectic, that's it, no strings attached. I found that personally I lacked direction, focus, and yearned for community. Some people can do it, for some people it is a great way to go about things and they gain a lot of freedom from it. But for me, in my current spirituality, I am fully comfortable and more at home than ever. Kemet has my heart and my spirit. <3 Senebty.
