I don't know about you, but when I was in Fargo and Bismarck Mandan last summer I was laughing at all the people with thick accents who kept insisting that they didn't have an accent (No I wasn't laughing directly at them-just to myself)

@ohso41 Sorry, but I don't have ann accent. I talk just like everyonee else. Unless everyonee on earth has a North Dakota accent.

People in North Dakota have VERY STRONG accents compared to the rest of the country. You're just used to the accent because you live there.

I thought the funniest thing she kept on saying was "about", lol. Very glaring accent in that word. That pronunciation stretches from North Dakota to Wisconsin.

oh yes they do. Everyone from North Dakota that I know has a very strong distinctive accent. Listen to folks from Kansas City or Indianapolis, they have a neutral midwestern accent and newscasters based their accent on those two cities. if you think they sound southern, then YES YOU DO HAVE AN ACCENT
