@ellmoe2010 HBO, Showtime, TMC, and Skinemax have been around since the early 80s. Are you sure you're not thinking of Starz and possibly Encore as not being around until the 90s?

@djreese00 HBO and Showtime might have been the shit, but you have your order wrong. HBO and Cinemax came out in the 80's. Showtime and The Movie Channel didn't come out until years later (about mid to late 90's).

this sounds bring back memories, it meant that the nasty shows was coming on, so we would turn the volume down so the grown folks wouldnt hear that we was watching it,
