Gotta love the getrag's, the holden LS boys also manage to get a hell of a lot through those 6 speeds... Big single snail on ls1/ls2 anyone?

@leonthalion oh theyl handle somewhere round 900hp lol check out the manual 6 speed drag supras doing 8s theres one doing 7s with 6 speed getrag, nah the 5 speeds dont really even go over 320+ theyre gay

Getdrag 6 speeds are a beast of a gearbox, can handle 600hp easy with strong clutch. The 5 speeds are a different story, anything over 400hp will ensure a visit to the dentist from what i hear.

@0187Koffi the gearbox obviously isnt strong enough to handle, ive seen supras bro with the getrag 6 speed with absolutely no problems dropping it in second. sounds like dropping it in second with a gtr gear box is a bad idea lol

@LJStorm cool now go sit a gtr on the 2 step and launch it in 2nd and see what happens. even if you get a nice gearset you'll just break the transfer case or driveshafts. so going back to what you said originally no launching in 2nd is a bad idea.

r34gtr has a 6speed getrag.

I have one mounted on my r32gtr.

@0187Koffi the 5spd is the w58, the 6 speed is getrag V160, it was put in twin turbo supras, the gearbox will handle in upwards over 800 - 1000hp. all over youtube buddy
