Cradle's first album (Principal) sounds somewhat like Mayhem's Deathcrush.. to my ears at least.
I'm a fan of both but Cradle have not used the Black Metal sound since the early 90's, turning more towards the Goth side of things. I don't approve of Dani's glitter look nowadays, but on the other hand, Attila has rekindled the black magic that stirs within the heart of Mayhem, just as he flourished on De Mysteriis.

@eusuntmoartea Black Metal isn't simply about making music: it's a way of living. A "blackster" doesn't wanna draw all eyes on himself: he only wanna get the RIGHT people to stare at him (MayheM teaches well). He doesn't wanna become an idol, nor dreams about popularity, he doesn't POSE on a stage like an actor. The goal isn't to sell out, but to give a sound to your feelings of hatred.
Dani Filth has got NOTHING to do with Black Metal. A poser is somebody who calls him blackster.
