"Dosdispaar" Choreography and dance Darwin Diaz - Fatima Gomez
Musical Composition: Johannes Schmidt
"Dosdispaar" is a Spanish and German mixed play word which indicates contradictory meanings. Dos means two, and dispaar means no pair.
The choreographic research was inspired by this idea. The necessity of finding your identity through other people. How your surrounding can give you a conscience to be yourself in time and space.
The physical work is basically based on articulated material, to enable the use of the joints, with especially attention in the arms, as motor of movement. The results of the movement are a combination between tension and fragmentation of the body. The vocabulary fluctuates between the abstraction and obvious symbolic.
