I watched this movie recently and I fell in love with it... seriously this movie is PURE ART... if you haven't seen it YOU MUST! This video is based on Jamal and Latika... the actors are so good. Danny Boyle made a great movie.

  • that pretty much got the feeling of the whole movie in one song with clips....this was so beautiful to watch.

  • @therearenobloodyname thank you!! I'm so glad you liked it so much! :)

  • its a lovely movie indeed, and the song you used makes a nice sound track for the images...this is a film that almost didnt get made, almost went straight to DVD, and got only limited release and which after success at telluride and Toronto swept upward on a tide of affection sweeping all before it.

  • @jalusbrian I didn't know it almost went straight to DVD... But I'm not surprised... great movies always struggle to get noticed.. I recently watched "Trishna" with Freida Pinto(Latika) I highly recommend to watch that movie.. As Slumdog Millionaire it is also filmed in India and it's a very great movie.. unfortunately if I didn't go to the Rome Film Festival I would never have seen it...

  • nice! qual'è la cansone di sottofondo? what is song's name, please?

  • @TwelfthNightly grazie! :) La canzone è "Hymn for the missing" dei "Red"

  • Tonight, I watched this movie for the first time....it left me absolutely speechless. It was utterly beautiful. Highly recommended!!!

  • to the uploader: yeah i agree, this movie is indeed pure art...the story, acting, music, cinematography...every detail is a magnificent work of art that created a true masterpiece...bravo! big ups to the people behind this remarkable film!!

  • watch?v=1BN1Twr0pDM

straight to DVD at 3.02 min

  • curious fact: the end song JaI Ho was covered by Pussy Cat dolls!, whos lead singer was swept away by the films story, saying it affected her emotionally and spirituallly...aka Jamals persistance and purity iinspite of heavy odds

  • @endymion8712 yes it did...and we are lucky that the makers decided to send it to some film festivals:Telluride and Toronto where itwon the audience awards, and set on its own destined path. It had limited release in the US or itd have made a lot more money. Its remarkable in that a lot of it is in hindi and has no actors known to western esp hollywood audiences..,.yet it sailed to the top and knocked off every other contender for awards
